THRESHOLD
Choreography: Terri Best Dancers: Anh Dillon and Joey Thao Music: Riceboy Sleeps Video: Glyn Gray, Stir Studios Finalist: 14th Annual Dance Under the Stars Choreography Festival Threshold takes place at the liminal border between the seen and unseen worlds – the dream state – where the spirit of one who has departed crosses over to re-unite with her beloved. THROUGH THE DESERT
Choreography: Terri Best Music: Sinead O'Connor Video: Glyn Gray, Stir Studios Finalist: 13th Annual Dance Under the Stars Choreography Festival In this meditative work, nine dancers enter an unknown and uncertain landscape. Solos, duets and trios break away, intersect, and are re-absorbed by the group as it moves “through the desert”, suggesting the need for faith, and the support of relationship and community, in navigating the unknown. |
